Talat Noi or Talad Noi is a historic neighbourhood in Bangkok. Near to Bangkok’s Chinatown, Talat Noi has been home to various ethnic Chinese communities since the foundation of Bangkok.
Talat Noi Morning Market
Greeted with a beautiful entrance scene.
Bought some coconut pancake. Freshly baked.
Erm, baked banana?
The morning market setup is quite familiar to that of our childhood’s pasar pagi (morning market) in Kampung Baru, Alma, Bukit Mertajam, Penang, Malaysia.
You can easily feel the presence of the Chinese here.
A Chinese restaurant with roasted meat, Chinese pancakes and dim sum.
A small temple beside the street.
A flour shop.
Walk passed the Transformer that greeted us earlier. Some people do stop by with their bikes and simply take a photo with the statue and chao, within minutes.
