While the restaurant is within a 10-15 minute walk from Chinatown Bangkok, we decided to drive and park in a nearby area.
We found a good spot to park the car indeed.
And a blessing to spot a Tuk-tuk that was nicely parked in front of an antic building.
Naam 1608 Riverside Restaurant
It may take a little bit more attention to find the path to the restaurant without a local guide.
It’s a hidden gem in Bangkok.
The entrance is simply beautiful.
It’s Christmas, just like anywhere else, a welcoming Christmas tree right at door step, like what we saw at the entrance of The Corner House Bangkok.
The menu is available in English.
Quite similar to the feel at the Khlong Bang Luang Floating Market, where you can sit at the waterfront and enjoy the view, only this time, the Chao Phraya River is right in front while enjoying your meal.
The interior is well-decorated with flowers and plants.
Live music is available from Thursday to Friday. We happened to enjoy an “Er Hu” session that day.
Living up to its claim of “authentic Thai cuisine prepared according to the ancient recipes with a focus on how the flavors and textures of selected premium quality ingredients interact together”.
A Chinese art piece on top of the door.
The pathway on the ground floor towards the staircase leads to the upper floor.
Naam 1608 Riverside Restaurant Upper Floor
NAAM 1608 Riverside Restaurant is set in a charming rebuilt wood house by the riverside with a vintage interior and furniture.
An open-air place with a 180-degree view of the Chao Phraya River.
There are two sections on the upper floor.
The view is better as it is higher.
Best riverside restaurant.
No lack of Christmas vibes.
A well-organized and beautiful display of artifacts.
Found a private room besides the two open space sections on the upper floor.
Suitable to host small groups for meeting over some nice Thai cuisine.
In summary, you will enjoy food, drinks, and the fantastic river view from every seat Naam 1608 setup.
Found some nice angles and took some photos as we walked back to our car.
