Bangkok, Thailand

A retreat trip to Bangkok, Thailand for 2023 recap and 2024 outlook.

Took a trip to Bangkok from 22nd December 2023 to 26th December 2023.

It was nearly 15 years ago since my last visit to this city.

A retreat for 2023 recap and 2024 outlook.

Stayed at iBis Riverside Bangkok, for a good environment to think.

Quite a convenient location with easy access to interesting places along the Chao Phraya River.

Sena Fest Bangkok

Sena Fest is a uniquely designed mall near Ibis Riverside Bangkok.

Dancing Santa

Found an interesting Santa that can sing and dance, but only come out at night.

Ibis Riverside Bangkok

A retreat for 2023 recap and 2024 outlook. Stayed at iBis Riverside Bangkok, for a good environment to do the thinking. Quite a convenient location with easy access to interesting places along the Chao Phraya River.

iBis Riverside Bangkok is a good choice if the visiting areas are around the Chao Phraya River.

You may choose a good river view room, paying a little bit more than the normal room rate.

Both day and night views are ok. But not for a relaxing or work-type of room stay due to the smaller room size.

The outdoors is fine, just quite some mosquitoes.

It was a welcoming Christmas season.

Local Thai Food

Had a Pad Thai on Christmas Eve, just a walking distance from the hotel.

A local Thai dish.

Had pineapple fried rice at the airport before the flight home.

Some famous snacks – rice crackers, from Thailand.

Suvarnabhumi Airport

As we embarked on the journey towards the airport, spotted this traffic sign board with an estimated jam time of the nearby route.

The symbolic statue inside the airport hall.

The phones are classic.

The same image on the J&H pillar was seen during entry into Thailand.

Quite some such statues inside the airport. Looks like the guardians.

A futuristic design considering the time it was built.

A symbolic sculpture.

The tug-of-war sculpture.

There is a bit delay with the flight.

Finally, another blessed and safe journey. Khob Khun, Bangkok.
